Evaluating Security Measures Over Time

The Historical Overview view within Vulnerability management provides you with a comprehensive historical analysis of your system's vulnerabilities, helping you track trends over time and evaluate the effectiveness of your security measures.


Prerequisites

To use Vulnerability Management in the Arxus Portal you need;

  • Access to the Arxus portal with the appropriate permissions to use this feature.

  • Your company must have you activated this service with Arxus.

How to activate?

If your company has this service active, and you still can’t use it, contact your company portal administrator (usually this person, is who in your company has “Full Role” rights to the users and permission section)


Visual Data Representation

The Historical Overview view includes:

  • Vulnerable Items Opened and Closed Each Period: A bar graph showing the number of new and closed vulnerable items for each period. This helps you track the progress of your vulnerability management efforts over time.

  • Open Vulnerable Items Per Period: A table displaying the number of open vulnerabilities per period, categorized by their risk rating. This provides a detailed view of how vulnerabilities have been managed historically.

  • Vulnerable Items by Risk Rating: A bar graph illustrating the distribution of vulnerabilities by their risk rating. This helps you understand the overall risk landscape of your environment.

In-Depth Metrics Breakdown

Additionally, the Historical Overview view provides:

  • Monthly Vulnerability Trends: Detailed monthly trends of new and closed vulnerabilities, helping you identify patterns and potential areas for improvement in your security measures.

  • Vulnerability Distribution by Risk Rating: A breakdown of vulnerabilities by their risk rating, providing insights into the severity of the issues over time.

  • Historical Data Analysis: A comprehensive analysis of historical data, enabling you to track the progress and effectiveness of your vulnerability management program.
