Personalized Guidance with Advise Center

Arxus Advise Center is a pivotal section of the Arxus portal, that provides you a consolidated view of your Azure platform health and performance. The Advise Center offers personalized guidance to optimize your Azure Platform health, performance, and compliance by enabling you to monitor and resolve governance issues, access prioritized recommendations, and benchmark your environment's health with Advisor and Secure scores and costs.


Prerequisites

To use Advise Center in the Arxus Portal you need:

  • Access to the Arxus portal with the appropriate permissions to use this feature.

  • Your company must have you activated this service with Arxus.

How to activate?

If your company has this service active, and you still can’t use it, contact your company portal administrator (usually this person, is who in your company has “Full Role” rights to the users and permission section).


Through the Advise Center section there are three different tabs you can navigate through:

Cloud Custodian Cases

Cases are opened every quarter contain specific recommendation that Arxus Advise Architects have selected, from azure recommendations. Every quarter you and your Arxus engineers or architects review these recommendations and work on a specific action plan for the recommendations.

From The Cloud Custodian Cases tab you can:

  • Monitor the ongoing state of various recommendations cases that have been opened as a result of Azure recommendations

  • Understand the context and implications of each case with comprehensive details and status updates.

  • View the Action Plan for each recommendation item

Detailed Table

By selecting a case you'll be able to see following details about the recommendation items related to the case;

  1. Active: A checkbox indicating whether the case is currently active or which remediations are in progress.

  2. Impact: A visual representation. indicating the impact level of the recommendation given by Microsoft.

  3. Category: The classification of the recommendation given by Microsoft. The categories can be : reliability, security, performance, operational excellence, and cost.

  4. Recommendation: A description of the specific action to be taken, such as installing system updates or resolving secret findings.

  5. Configuration Item: The specific Azure resource or item that the recommendation applies to, identified by its name.

  6. Subscription: The Azure subscription under which the configuration item is managed.

  7. Advised Action: The Arxus recommended action to be taken on the Microsoft recommended, item such as "Fix" or "Waive."

  8. Final Action: The action that was ultimately taken, as result of the quarterly meeting between the Arxus team and your Team.


Cloud Custodian Recommendations

Within the Arxus Advise Center, the Cloud Custodian Recommendations tab serves as showcase of the full action plan decided by your team and Arxus on all recommendation's items.

The "Cloud Custodian Recommendations" tab enables you to:

  • View a list of actionable recommendations to enhance your Azure environment.

  • Track all your recommendations, from initiation to resolution, ensuring that all Azure recommendations are addressed.

Insights

The Insights tab contains a report with a series of view about your Azure Infrastructure and health, from here you can;

  • Gain high-level overviews of your Azure environment's Advisor and Secure scores, offering benchmarks for best practices and security posture.

  • Observe how these scores evolve over time with trend analysis, helping you identify areas of improvement or success.

  • Drill down into specific Advisor pillars like cost, high availability, performance, operational excellence, and security to refine your strategies in these areas.
