Maximize Azure Efficiency with Reservations 
Azure Reservations in the Arxus Portal provides you with a comprehensive view of your Azure reservations, allowing you to manage and monitor details such as status, quantity, payment terms, expiration dates, and associated tenants, while also ensuring cost-effective utilization of your Azure resources. Additionally, it enables you to request a new reservation directly from the Portal.
Prerequisites
To use Azure Reservations in the Arxus Portal you need:
Access to the Arxus portal with the appropriate permissions to use this feature.
Your company must have you activated this service with Arxus.
How to activate?
If your company has this service active, and you still can’t use it, contact your company portal administrator (usually this person, is who in your company has “Full Role” rights to the users and permission section).
Interface overview
The Azure Reservations dashboard displays a detailed interface to monitor your reserved instances providing you essential metrics and statuses to give you a quick snapshot of your reserved instances' health and activity. Within the Dashboard you'll find the following elements;
Search and Filter Functionality:
Search Bar: Allows you to quickly locate specific reservations by name.
Add Filter: Enables you to apply various filters to narrow down the list of reservations based on.
Reservation List Table:
Status: Displays the current status of the reservation, such as:
Active
Inactive
Expired
Name: The identifier of the reservation instance.
Qty: The quantity of reserved instances.
Payment: The payment term for the reservation, that can be either Monthly or Upfront.
Expiration: Shows whether the reservation is active or nearing expiration. (For reservations that are about to expire, a case is automatically created to request information if you want to renew the reservation)
End Date: The date when the reservation will expire.
Tenant: Indicates the tenant associated with the reservation.
This table provides you with a comprehensive view of all your reserved instances, enabling you to manage and optimize your Azure resources effectively.
Request a New Reservation
To request a new reservation, navigate to Azure reservations and:
Click on the "Request New Reservation" button located at the top right corner of the interface, this button allows you to initiate a new reservation request.
Fill out the reservation form; After clicking the button, you will be redirected to the Service Now catalog where you need to complete a form with the following details:
Account: Select the account for which the reservation is being made.
Term: Choose the duration of the reservation.
Scope: Define the scope of the reservation.
Type: Select the type of resource you want to reserve.
Region: Specify the region where the reserved instances will be utilized.
Quantity: Indicate the number of instances you wish to reserve.
Additional Notes: Any additional information or special instructions regarding the reservation.
Submit the Reservation request;
Once all the required fields are filled out, submit the form to request the new reservation. The request will be processed, and the new reservation will appear in the reservation list once it is active.
