Analyzing Windows Update Status by Device
The Windows Update View is the third view within the Endpoint Management section of the Arxus Portal. This view provides a comprehensive overview of the Windows update status across your devices, helping you ensure that all systems are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
Prerequisites
To use Endpoint Management in the Arxus Portal you need:
Access to the Arxus portal with the appropriate permissions to use this feature.
Your company must have you activated this service with Arxus.
How to activate?
If your company has this service active, and you still can’t use it, contact your company portal administrator (usually this person, is who in your company has “Full Role” rights to the users and permission section).
Summary Metrics
In the Windows Update View, you will find:
Devices per Quality Update: A bar graph showing the number of devices for each quality update version.
Devices per Feature Update: A bar graph showing the number of devices for each feature update version.
Devices per Update Ring: A pie chart displaying the distribution of devices across different update rings.
Up-to-Date Devices Percentage: Gauges showing the percentage of devices that are up to date in total and by update ring.
Visual Data Representation
The Windows Update View also includes:
Devices Not Up-to-Date: A detailed table listing each device along with its model, manufacturer, user name, operating system, version, quality update version, latest available update date, deadline date, hard deadline date, last sync datetime, install availability date, and KB article.
Filtering and Search Options
To help you focus your analysis, the Windows Update View offers:
Device Status Filter: A dropdown to select the status of devices (e.g., online devices).
Update Ring Filter: A dropdown to filter devices by their update ring.
Operating System Filter: A dropdown to filter devices by their operating system.
Date Range Selector: Enables customization of the displayed data by selecting specific date ranges.
